Pear and Apple Puree

Makes about 4 portions
Ingredients
1 pear, peel, core removed and chopped
1 small apple, peel, core removed and chopped
1 tbsp Rice Cereal
Method
1. Place chopped fruit in a small saucepan. Pour in enough water to just cover the fruit and bring to boil.
2. Reduce heat then simmer for two minutes. To steam the fruit, place chopped fruit into a bowl and place in a pot with water. Make sure the water is lower than the rim of the bowl. Place lid on pot. Bring water to the boil. Steam for 5 mins.
3. Drain well and reserve some water. Place fruit in blender with rice cereal and blend to desired consistency. Use the preserve water if needed.
4. Allow to cool before serving.
You can also add some apple juice in the blending process. As your baby increases in age, use the age appropriate baby rice cereal.
